Academy of the Ministry of National Security

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the Decree prescribing the battle flag of the Academy of the Ministry of National Security.

The flag measures 114 cm x 145 cm and is horizontally divided blue-red-green, like the national flag of Azerbaijan. On the obverse of the flag, there is a white crescent (height 38 cm) and eight-pointed star (height 20 cm) in the middle of the red stripe and the golden lettering FOR AZERBAIJAN! in the blue stripe. The letters are 6.5 cm high and 5 cm wide.
On the reverse of the flag, there is the emblem of the Ministry of National Security (height 54 cm) in the middle of the red stripe, the golden lettering ACADEMY NAMED AFTER HEYDAR ALIYEV OF THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL SECURITY in the blue stripe (letters, 6 cm x 5 cm), and the number and name of the Academy (?) in gold (numbers 7 cm x 4.5 cm; letters 5 cm x 4.5 cm).
The staff of the flag is 2.50 m in length and 4 cm in diameter; it is made of brown lacquered wood. The lace of the flag is made of golden silk and is 2.70-2.85 m long. There are tassels on both ends of the flag.

The battle flag is a symbol of military honour, courage and fame. It must remain in the Academy forever, independently of any change of its name or number. The flag must be on the battlefield; every member of the Academy must protect it and should not allow the enemy to capture it. In case of loss of the flag, the chief of the Academy will be responsible and the Academy will be suppressed.
